The 2017 Alfalfa and Range workshop at McGee Park in Farmington, NM is a unique opportunity for alfalfa and livestock producers to engage with NMSU specialists to obtain knowledge on a personal level. San Juan County ranks number two in the state of New Mexico for alfalfa production. The majority of our public and permitted land in the county is rangeland and must be managed properly to ensure profitable carrying capacities.

It is critical that our producers and stockman have the most up to date information regarding management principles; new variety research and development. The Alfalfa and Range Workshop will highlight concerns including prairie dog and gopher management; upcoming alfalfa varieties to improve production yields; noxious range weed control and overall range management.

New Mexico State University is an equal opportunity/affirmative action employer and educator.
